A Gong was a hit for T-Rex in 1972 and had repeated success with this remake
(Billboard charts: Hot100#9, Mainstream Rock#19). The Power Station, named after the CHIC recording studio, was
basically a CHIC-Duran Duran team up comprised of Duranies John Taylor (bass),
Andy Taylor (guitar) and CHIC members Tony Thompson (drums), Bernard Edwards
(producer) and Robert Palmer on vocals as an added twist. |
